Governors Island: The Wrong Way Forward

When the City of New York acquired Governors Island, we were offered a grand public playground. Currently, the Trust for Governors Island has proposed a plan that would line most of the shoreline in the lower portion of the island with large office buildings, including two towers of over twenty stories. The plan is currently under review by the City Planning Commission and is expected to come before City Council in April. Join us for a discussion addressing and expanding upon the concerns raised by City Club President Jeffrey Kroessler in his recent Op-Ed.
